Modi on the Move, Modi Must Go On”: BJP’s Video Sets Tone for 2024 Elections

An animated video depicting the journey of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, from 2007 to the present, has been shared by the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). The video showcases all the major achievements of his government and the failed attacks by opposition parties, including name-calling such as ‘maut ka saudagar’ and ‘chaiwala.’

Modi’s rise to power and his first term as prime minister

The video begins with Modi, the chief minister of Gujarat, aiming for the prime ministerial post in 2014’s general elections. As he starts walking on the stairs that lead up to the chair of the prime minister, he is targeted by Sonia Gandhi, who refers to him as ‘maut ka saudagar.’ However, Modi resists all the attacks and continues his walk towards the PM post, while being called ‘chaiwala’ and mocked for the US visa ban. After becoming prime minister in 2014, he is greeted with an ‘Invitation to the US’ by a figure depicting then-President Barack Obama.

The first inning of Modi as the prime minister is highlighted by various schemes such as ‘Swachh Bharat Mission,’ ‘Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna,’ ‘Ujjwala Yojana,’ ‘Jan Dhan Yojana,’ ‘Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna,’ ‘PM Awas Yojna,’ and ‘Fasal Bima Yojna.’ The video also shows Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Rafale allegations as a futile attempt by the grand old party as Modi has re-elected PM in 2019.

Modi’s second term and his response to the COVID-19 pandemic

During his second term in office, Modi chooses the ‘Indian vaccine’ to tide over the Covid pandemic over US-made vaccines like Pfizer and Moderna. The video highlights Modi’s efforts to work towards a ‘5 trillion dollars economy’ target, unaffected by slurs including ‘Gautam das,’ ‘Modi teri kabar kudegi,’ and ‘neech’ among others.
