Elon Musk Predicts Donald Trump’s Victory If Indicted

Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk, has predicted that former United States President Donald Trump will win the next US Presidential election in a “landslide victory” if he is indicted by Manhattan prosecutors. Musk’s statement comes in response to a Fox News report that described how Trump might be “cuffed,” “fingerprinted and processed,” and “escorted into the courtroom” as early as next week.

The Investigation Against Trump

The investigation against Trump centres on $130,000 paid weeks before the 2016 polls to stop Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, from going public about an affair she says she had with Trump years earlier. Prosecutors are weighing whether to charge Trump in the case. If the Manhattan district attorney were to indict Trump, the 76-year-old would become the first former president to be charged with a crime.

Donald Trump’s Response

Donald Trump responded to the news by posting on his Truth Social platform that he expects to be “arrested” on Tuesday over hush money allegedly paid to a porn star before the 2016 election and called on his supporters to protest. “They’re killing our nation as we sit back & watch. We must save America! Protest, protest, protest!!!” he added.

Musk’s Controversial Prediction

Musk and Trump have butted heads over a number of issues over the years. However, Musk has recently supported conservative candidates in the 2022 midterm elections. Though Musk is not a Trump fan, his claim that Trump could win again seems a little odd. Trump’s support has hovered around 30% of Americans since the US Capitol riots in January 2021.

Musk’s prediction, if it comes to pass, could be seen as controversial. Trump was impeached twice during his presidency, and his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic was criticized by many. Additionally, his support for right-wing extremist groups and comments about women and minorities have made him a divisive figure.

Elon Musk’s prediction that Trump could win the next US Presidential election in a “landslide victory” if indicted by Manhattan prosecutors has caused controversy. While Trump has his supporters, his divisive actions and comments during his presidency have also garnered significant opposition. It remains to be seen whether the investigation against him will result in charges, and if so, whether they will impact his chances of being re-elected
